The ideal candidate will possess a fundamental knowledge of industrial electrical control systems and will have experience in reading, editing and creating electrical schematics with CAD software. The initial task will be for the candidate to become proficient with Doppelmayr’s electrical drawing software package and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Once up to speed, the candidate will be assigned tasks with increasing level of complexity, eventually leading to project management for various new aerial ropeway projects throughout North America.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the electrical engineering department by helping to produce schematic drawings, parts lists, bills of materials and technical descriptions
  • Assist with in shop testing of electrical control cabinets, AC and DC drive systems, and new
  • component verification
  • Assist with management of CAD symbols and parts database
  • Assist with management of ISO process documentation
  • Assist in creation of product structures for wire shop production
  • Assist with onsite startup and commissioning activities

Required Skills:

  • Ability and willingness to learn proprietary electrical drawing software
  • Strong background with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Clear understanding of electrical circuit diagrams and symbols
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical writing experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (mostly during the install period falling between Sept – Dec)
  • Ability to productively work at heights and in mountainous environments during any season
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when communicating with customers and colleagues

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
  • Basic understanding of PLC functionality and HMI integration
  • Basic understanding of relay logic control system design principles and practices
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC power and control circuitry
  • Familiarity with hydraulic system drawings and controls
  • Ability to perform safety analysis of complex control circuits
  • Familiarity with industry codes and regulations such as ANSI B77, Z98, NEC
  • EIT licensure with a desire to become a P.E.


Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
